Strengthening Skills Through Industry Partnerships
To bridge the gap between vocational training and real-world industry requirements, the Government ITI actively collaborates with leading industries through various Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). These partnerships ensure skill relevance, hands-on practical exposure, and improved employability for trainees.
🧩 1. DST MOU (Dual System of Training)
Under the Dual System of Training (DST), the Government ITI has signed MoUs with reputed industries to offer students a blend of institute-based and industry-based training.
🔹 Key Features:
1 year (or part) of training at ITI, and the remaining period in industry
Students receive real-time exposure to industrial machinery, tools, and working conditions
Industry provides mentors, training modules, and assessments aligned with NCVT norms
Improves job readiness and placement opportunities after completion
🏭 Participating Industries May Include:
- Sectors Covered: Automotive, Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, and more
- Industry Partners : Maruti Suzuki, JBM Group, Subros, Hero MotoCorp
🔧 2. Flexi MoU / OJT (On-the-Job Training)
The Government ITI also collaborates with industries under Flexi MoU schemes and conducts On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs for specific trades and short-term projects, ensuring practical exposure and industry relevance.
🔹 Objectives:
Enable trainees to receive skill-based training tailored to specific industry requirements
Ensure exposure to the latest technologies and processes used in the sector
Provide joint certification issued by DGT/ITI and the respective industry partner
📘 Examples:
COPA trainees are placed in IT companies for data management and technical support roles
Electrician and Fitter trainees undergo On-the-Job Training (OJT) in manufacturing and service units
CNC trainees work on production lines under the guidance of industry mentors
💼 3. CSR Collaborations (Corporate Social Responsibility)
To enhance infrastructure, upgrade equipment, and support student development, the institute actively leverages CSR partnerships with private industries and public sector undertakings (PSUs).
🔹 Focus Areas:
Donation of machines, simulators, and laboratory setups
Organization of skill development camps, seminars, and soft skills training sessions
Sponsorship of uniforms, toolkits, and merit-based scholarships
Infrastructure support such as smart classrooms, solar power systems, and computer labs
